[0:48] Speaker A (unidentified): It's a good question. [0:49] Speaker B (unidentified): I'll go first, but if not, I'll go second. [0:51] Speaker A (unidentified): All right. For example, we can bring her in. Yeah. [0:53] Speaker C (unidentified): And everything will be developed. [0:55] Speaker B (unidentified): So she will be ready to go to the papers. Oh. I can't say that much. OK. Ta-da. Ta-da. Ta-da. Ta-da. [1:06] Select Board member / Chair: Ta-da. Ta-da. Ta-da. Ta-da. Ta-da. Ta-da. Ta-da. Ta-da. Ta-da. Ta-da. Ta-da. Ta-da. [1:12] Speaker E (unidentified): Come on. Go there. [1:14] Speaker B (unidentified): I still don't have any idea why this camera is in the back. What is wrong with your iPad? [1:21] Speaker E (unidentified): It won't go back. It won't go back? It won't go back. All right. [1:26] Speaker B (unidentified): So today you're going to have to share. Pile right up. [1:31] Speaker F (unidentified): It can only fall back on paper. [1:34] Speaker G (unidentified): Yeah, it can only fall back on paper. Except you can't pull up all that gas. You can't pull up all that gas. [3:52] Speaker C (unidentified): To hear. All right. I like it. [3:59] Speaker F (unidentified): We don't want to go down there. There's nothing to go there. [4:03] Speaker G (unidentified): I thought we got to raise money so somebody can buy it. [4:11] Speaker F (unidentified): It ain't worth it. It's worth [7:41] Select Board member: Really all right, well, I can see running around the corner. You're the whack. Tell us what board meeting on September 21st open but [7:52] Speaker I (unidentified): It leads us to the eye of the United States of America [7:55] Select Board member: And Julia, your father, which is stands one nation under God, indivisible, for liberty and justice for [8:02] Select Board member / Chair: All okay [8:08] Speaker B (unidentified): We're all called to the select board member Edwin Bailey. Here. Select board member Blaine Casey. Yeah. Select board chair Brent Chesley. Yeah. Select board member Natasha Littlefield. Yeah. And select board member Thomas Brown. Yeah. Yeah. Start with [8:24] Select Board member: Payroll warrant number 11 for $41,092.56. I'll make a motion to approve, sir. Payroll Warrant number 11 for $41,092.56. I'll second it. Yeah. Any discussion on that? No. Seeing You know what I'm there. All right, they're going on the wall for $77,953.72. [8:51] Speaker F (unidentified): I'm going to be working with one of them told the 77,000 [8:58] Select Board member: I'm not going to get a discussion with him. Okay. [9:02] Select Board member / Chair: All in favor? 5-0. [9:06] Select Board member: Then we've got another payable warrant number 13 in the amount of $3,599.58. I'll make an order to reach that warrant. Number 13, $3,599.58. I'll second it. All right. Any discussion on that? I didn't see what that was. I remember reading something about it. Correct. What was it for again? [9:32] Speaker G (unidentified): Do you remember how to word it was a system of some sort that wasn't a fund and now we're right with the case right
Unfinished Business
[9:42] Select Board member / Chair: Any other questions? Any discussion? All right, all in favor. Okay, moving on to unfinished business. [9:53] Select Board member: Speeding in China, this seems to be an issue everywhere, so I just wanted to continue [10:00] Speaker B (unidentified): to update. I mean, the DOT have told us that Duck Road's going to be 35, Danforth's going to be 35, and Pleasant View Ridge is to become 40. But this is still hanging out there since November of 2025. The commissioner for Maine DOT and the Maine State Police haven't signed off on it, and it's not posted on DOT map viewer. They did say we can put up the signs, but that does little to allow us to actually grow and enforce it. I continue to send weekly or every other week emails to see when everybody is going to put their final signatures and it's going to be uploaded to Matthew. I don't know, have you heard any more? So I mean, it's sad that, you know, basically everything was completed in November of 2025 and here we've gone through a summer and not been able to feel that we can post them without, you know, any authorization or something to back us up, because I can't, I can put the sheriff details out there and they can start stopping people for going over 45 and they certainly would stop people, but the whole point is to slow the traffic down, so we're kind of caught that catch 22. other things that have brought been brought to the attention most recently is the causeway road which is unposted, main street also is unposted, village street, vassar and jones road, and then we have, i've had some special interest on Lakeview Drive and the Vassarboro Road. Brett was actually in the office when I was speaking with one of the residents about the Vassarboro Road because that nice new pavement has encouraged the speeds to encourage. So and again we know that the request to go to the state has to come from us and we have to hold a public hearing first. So basically, tonight I wanted to, one, talk about those other roads that they still haven't completed the process on, and two, see if there's any interest in asking the state to review the other roads, because if there is, then we would need to schedule a public hearing. [12:34] Select Board member: I don't see any reason why we shouldn't ask for that, but the Vassarville Road, I don't know if anybody's been driving the speed limit on that road for quite a while. anyway it was so rough so now maybe they're just going to speed limit it seems a lot faster you [12:51] Speaker B (unidentified): Know I've traveled that I actually go that road sometimes on my way to Waterville and I you know I can go be going along at 50 52 and they're going out around me by Spencer Retails and now that it's flat between the old Fitzgerald Farm and Acorn Lane, that stretch right there. Not that they didn't pass anyway, but this encourages them much more. And I went to get gas on my way here, which, well, north of the lake's not really on my way, but I just wanted to kind of look at the speed limits again. And pulling out of Circle K, coming down from the blinking Right. It's a disaster. I mean, I don't know why more people don't get hit there. It's awful. That intersection is horrible. And then obviously on Lakeview Drive, I did get passed by only one car on the way here, but I still got passed. [13:50] Select Board member: Well, I'm going to give you a seamless point. I don't see where it hurts to have them look at it. Right. Put that two cents in there. Yeah. [13:59] Speaker B (unidentified): Yeah and so they still would have to come out excuse me we would still have to have that public hearing yeah and my next thought is that everybody's going to ask for all the other roads and now so I'm not sure where we're looking to go from here because obviously [14:19] Speaker C (unidentified): Maybe a good question will they assess the whole town I do not believe so not from what [14:27] Speaker E (unidentified): No, I'm just on a blanket case now. And they're under the mindset that if you lower the speed limits, that people aren't going to follow the speed limits. Basically, they do the 85 percentile, what 85 percent of the people travel the roads at, and then that's what they kind of base the speed on. So if everybody's comfortably doing 50 on the road, the 85 percent of them, doing you know 50 that's what they kind of lean on and they don't like to they did that on the interstate I don't know if you guys follow the interstate speeds but they increased it way up because they wanted to move people along not find enough traffic and then they finally thought there's having more accidents then they lowered it back to 65 they never got the speed back down they've stayed at 70 75 but then also does The same the one trying to lower the speed once you once you've got that speed people don't slow down even with the speed limits posted so they try not to do it more than they have to but they will like she said if you requested [15:38] Speaker B (unidentified): For certain areas right and you didn't say there was some monitoring devices out in town [15:44] Speaker E (unidentified): Currently it's traffic counts and I'm not sure they count what. Yeah, I think they're just trying to get how much volume of traffic's, you know, going through like Derrick Road in particular. But they're just coming off the state roads and traveling through the communities. So in bigger areas, they might have some on the Neck Road. We'll check that out. [16:04] Speaker B (unidentified): They were. Yeah, there's one on the Crossway Road. Yeah. Over there. [16:09] Select Board member: Yeah. So you had something you wanted to add? [16:13] Speaker A (unidentified): I just wanted to say, I think it's really smart that we're talking about this because on the Deergo Road, like you were saying, right where our house is and it flattens out. I mean, there's two school buses that stop over there. I see every morning and people are lying down our road at like 70, like not even close to 45. So I was going to hope we could add it to the roads to be studied, even though you don't want to add everybody's road. But my biggest concern is safety for the kids. Like we literally let our neighbor park in our driveway so the kid doesn't have to cross the street. And so that's what I [16:46] Select Board member: worry about the most. So yeah, probably you're probably right. Everybody's going to want to look at it. I mean, how many will they? How many will we do at a time? And we can't really do a blanket thing. But we [16:58] Speaker E (unidentified): haven't even accomplished [17:01] Speaker G (unidentified): being very proud. [17:06] Speaker B (unidentified): You're more than welcome to ask. I continue to maybe that's what [17:09] Speaker E (unidentified): we need is to have some slight interaction. Right? I mean, I thought they're going to take care of it when we had that meeting. They seem like Yep, we'll get right after. And then you've sent emails and emails I've called and left messages and they don't even answer us really yeah I get their responses and they're just like listening to cricket say for us and [17:31] Speaker C (unidentified): where are we at it was a question of the ot the ot commissioner's desk last we were told [17:39] Speaker E (unidentified): yeah I think the state police chief or commissioner I think they already said signed [17:45] Speaker B (unidentified): off my thing but he keeps telling me he's going to go get it at that one last place not sure what [17:52] Speaker C (unidentified): that means and was that Steve no yeah so I'm happy to sit around on them [18:04] Speaker E (unidentified): to say you've been a lot of reasons [18:06] Speaker G (unidentified): is that you want to write back at the end? You know, some people [18:09] Select Board member: think now there's always research stage. [18:13] Select Board member / Chair: You know, really? Was that choice? Yeah. [18:16] Select Board member: She's she's definitely not. But not that robot. [18:20] Speaker B (unidentified): Excellent. So take a look. [18:23] Speaker F (unidentified): Did you get any response or anything about the signs up on one of your regions that room? [18:30] Speaker B (unidentified): So we still have the listing. It's on our agenda. The Weeks Mills area, and we have the listing of signs that we're going over, and we were going to go over them last week, but I forgot Sean was up Thursday and Friday, so things don't happen on Mondays. So I said what time did I send you an email this afternoon? I'm like okay, don't forget, right, it's all in our agenda for tomorrow. So yeah, so how many will they have, any idea how many they will review? Zero, but I mean I don't know, we're just gonna ask. Okay, but we would have to hold that public hearing. So I just, and I just wrote the order, wrote on the list. So [19:09] Speaker C (unidentified): I mean, I mean I can ask, but they're gonna [19:14] Speaker B (unidentified): Yep. Anyway, I'll ask, I'd be happy to ask. [19:18] Select Board member: Well, we'd have to know or put it on public hearing, right, how they're over there, I [19:27] Speaker B (unidentified): Feelful of their answer there yeah they're gonna stay down because china is not the only town in the state of maine right [19:35] Speaker E (unidentified): My concern I guess too is we can post any speed we want on any of these roads, we can put 25, but unless we watch that, and like Becky said, I was coming here tonight and I was doing 50, I like to drive in this minivan pulled right up from the bumper, I'm like what are they doing, like trying to fly me down and put the blinker on past me, and I lost sight of them before I even could, the town office just gone. I mean they must have been doing 75, and you could see headlights coming towards me, and then I Don't know if you've seen, there's a motorcycle that goes down by Nash's, they turned off Route Three, and I was doing the speed limit on Route Three, I got to the light at Hannaford, and I could look down because I was just curious where they're going, just a motorcycle or like was on our pro bike. And when I looked down, they went through the intersection by your place, and they must have been doing 60 [20:32] Speaker C (unidentified): Going up the downs are the cat. Yeah. Oh, yeah. And I just I [20:37] Speaker E (unidentified): Couldn't believe it. I don't know. [20:38] Speaker B (unidentified): And there's one guy reported on the 7am or just before seven is [20:44] Speaker C (unidentified): Doing 70 miles an hour. Wow. [20:49] Speaker F (unidentified): Like, to drive this. Okay, I live right on Lakeview Drive, and I can sit on my deck, and I don't care if it's in the morning, I don't care if it's in the evening, and I can sit there, and you hear them coming. They'd come around that corner down by Lakeview Lumber, and they'd go by, and more times than not, somebody's passing somebody right at my driveway, and they're doing at least 75, and they go by there. I know that, and we've had the state police, we've had the sheriffs there, and you'll see them go back and forth, back and forth, back and forth, to the lake. I don't know how many people are getting written out. That's the thing, I think [21:27] Speaker E (unidentified): that we need to hand out tickets and have it patrolled. I think they get the word out that people are handing out tickets in our area. Unless you do that, I don't think the speed [21:37] Speaker G (unidentified): limits, I mean, we go well because I saw someone post on the friendly china like a bit ago that no one's picking tickets, and I was like, why would you post that? Like, thank you, almost there, but he's not going to give you a ticket, and we kind of, we kind of received [21:51] Speaker C (unidentified): any summons we asked, not right, no, I thought that we some of it said [21:59] Select Board member: but very few compared to the amount they've called us. Give me a warning, give me a warning So we'll just have a public hearing for these. Do we need to vote on this? [22:12] Speaker B (unidentified): I just wanted to get your flavor. I don't think that's [22:16] Speaker G (unidentified): anything as long as everybody [22:19] Speaker B (unidentified): sounds like they're in favor. I will find out how many wrote that they'll even answer that or answer my email, and then we can, depending upon whether I get a response or not. We already have a public hearing for the next meeting, so I would probably move that to the end potentially. I'll see if I can get it set up in time for the 5th but [22:41] Speaker F (unidentified): if not, I'll be on the 9th. [22:42] Select Board member: And I guess the other issue is when we do have a sheriff details out here, we're, we're paying them first service, and it doesn't sound like we're getting what we really, they need to start picking [22:56] Speaker B (unidentified): people they like a lot, they get the word out, have many things that they say, oh well, I don't stop them unless they're over 15 over. Well, that's like way too much. Like we're talking 10 is like, five's even bad, but obviously people who are fighting for, but you know when you get to the 10 over, especially when you're in a 25 mile an hour zone, like it's mills village in front of [23:24] Speaker F (unidentified): my house, if they're going 15 over, they write them all day long. Oh, absolutely right, all day long, no [23:29] Speaker C (unidentified): I don't want to hear that, but I can find them. Yeah, right, that's just, I think they need to [23:34] Select Board member: They need to be a little more aggressive with the ticketing or this. I mean, with you, know, we can have DOT study these forever and what would it be limits, and it's never gonna do any good unless they start, they don't have the other solutions Right up into the top. So it's gonna [Select Board member / Chair: But today] people call all right, moving on, there's some pack trail maintenance and repairs What did we find out from the contractors? So they want all or nothing. That's cool. That's the whole one. These [24:39] Speaker F (unidentified): numbers didn't change. What's [24:41] Select Board member: So they didn't. The numbers are the same as what the original guys. Yeah. [24:45] Speaker K (unidentified): He said with my child that the day was making money on the big trail. Okay, what was the price on the other three other projects? The family got the other projects that you wouldn't make money on this other [Speaker C (unidentified): better. I read] brothers. I don't know. And the other one was not. They were better on the big number, but less [25:15] Select Board member: But the overall now we have to do the overall pricing, right? Yes [25:20] Speaker I (unidentified): Which we kind of thought was gonna be the way it was gonna go [25:26] Select Board member: So it looks like the budget in strange you're looking to do Braille one the main trail under the with it. Yes by me [25:36] Speaker K (unidentified): Israel next year and [Select Board member: Great rolling The] town was supposed to pay for that. [25:44] Select Board member: Under the PF, with the towns. Out of your regular budget, yeah. Yeah. Okay. Trail 1. Yeah, Trail 1. Okay. Yeah. This one here is about the main. What do you guys think? So they wouldn't like. You said the one they were making the money on was a bigger number? Yeah. So really wouldn't you do trail one or the main trail? [26:41] Speaker K (unidentified): RID wouldn't do it? Yeah, RID would do it. But they wanted the whole thing. [26:45] Speaker F (unidentified): They won't put a project up the same at all. [26:47] Speaker K (unidentified): Then you'd be paying $51,000 for a 40-year. [26:51] Select Board member: Well, no. What I was asking was [26:53] Speaker K (unidentified): would they do the main trail? The main trail. [26:56] Select Board member: And the trail number one, which is the big number, you know, so that when it's where they're making their money [27:04] Speaker K (unidentified): He said they wanted the whole thing the whole package I think most people that's really long school to do that So [27:24] Speaker F (unidentified): what we're asking for now What 's done in yellow here? Yeah, you know [27:33] Speaker K (unidentified): So the $5,000 you guys okayed last meeting, so the final payment on bike trails, you guys have already okayed that? [27:50] Select Board member: So they have $40,000 left of TIF funding for the year. So they're asking to do Trail 1 and the main trail with TIF funding. [Speaker F (unidentified): Yeah, $39,600.] yeah wait on the deer trail and then the grading and rolling was going to be out [28:06] Speaker C (unidentified): of there regular you know budget so you're saying that they won't break it [28:12] Speaker G (unidentified): up but they are only willing to do one or two trails and not all the trails [28:18] Speaker K (unidentified): because I know it's that's why I had a wider I have I get that I devised it so I knew we wouldn't have enough money to do the whole thing yeah so that way we could pick the grunge if we had money enough to do. [28:32] Select Board member: So I guess I'm maybe I'm just not. So Reardon and the other guy said it was either the full amount or nothing at all. But Childs didn't say that? [28:46] Speaker K (unidentified): Yeah, Childs didn't. Childs wants it all or none. Green wants it all or none. [28:52] Speaker G (unidentified): So where are we doing two of the trails? we're not doing them then why don't what's the trail one and main trail they don't want to split up the job none of them want to split it up understood but we are splitting it sounds like [29:04] Speaker B (unidentified): Because no, we're not. They're doing this. We're not doing the deer trail at all. [29:09] Select Board member: No, I know that. Brings me back to the question. Yeah, we'll rear it and do trail one and the main trail and not do the other. Nobody does, nobody's doing. I don't, I don't. Pretty good difference there. And man, it's a law and it's a law. But that's, I have a question about all or nothing. He's got them all. I always wanted all or nothing, but yet he's willing to break up. He just don't want anybody else in there. [29:44] Speaker C (unidentified): Who makes that be the one? Yeah, none of the correct. What's that make it? [29:49] Speaker K (unidentified): But you're only doing two anyway. [29:51] Speaker G (unidentified): But if we're only doing two and the other guy's cheaper. On those two. Right. We have three. [29:56] Speaker K (unidentified): We have three. I want the other guy's name. I can't remember. [30:01] Speaker B (unidentified): Yeah. No, I'm sorry. [30:04] Speaker K (unidentified): No, I'm sorry. So we have three. Three, yeah. Three. I thought that I know. The other guy. I don't even know. Yeah. [30:12] Speaker C (unidentified): Yeah. Yeah, they're busy. 40,000 fans. Yeah, they're small. Yeah. [30:18] Speaker F (unidentified): But what you're saying is no devil would do anything unless I do it all. [30:22] Speaker B (unidentified): But they're not doing it also because we don't have the money, right? That's why. So they've agreed. [30:28] Speaker C (unidentified): To do these two, I think this contractor said is they wouldn't and we don't have the money to do. [30:34] Speaker I (unidentified): That one trail and another contract to do another, right? They don't have to. I totally understand, but I get Blaine's point. How much difference was it? [31:03] Speaker G (unidentified): But you are, I mean he is right, if we're only doing two trails these guys are like much cheaper. [31:32] Select Board member: Yeah, so I mean it seems funny that they say it's all or nothing, but even with what you guys are proposing challenges to give it all because we're not doing the deer trail. [31:49] Speaker K (unidentified): So, well, Brandon, if I would have brought that to you as a whole, without breaking it down, you would have won the bet, right? [31:58] Select Board member / Chair: Well, probably. I [32:03] Select Board member: Mean, I've done a lot of work. I understand how when you start pulling stuff out, it can affect your overhead and your profit. I understand that. That. But it just seems like that trail one estimate, the difference between those two is significant enough for me that it's very, it's just, it's hard, it's hard from there. [32:42] Speaker B (unidentified): And Reardon has the correct equipment to do all the mulching as you've described? [32:49] Speaker K (unidentified): Yeah, it's not that they're hybrids. I think they do have a mulching. But like on the hill, [33:06] Speaker G (unidentified): You know, I don't know. I don't understand. [33:09] Speaker K (unidentified): You know, I'm going to get settled. You know, the $2,100, whatever it is. [33:14] Select Board member: Well, but you could. If you did ribs, you may be able to do three of them, rather than just two. For the same or even less money. So you got what is it 56 20 and then you had 23.5 for trail one and you could get the handicraft parking lot or main trail hill sorry or the main road [33:44] Speaker C (unidentified): Another five grand would still be under thirty five thousand just right now [33:51] Select Board member: Now I'm not so sure that they wouldn't be interested if they're coming out of life I [34:02] Speaker B (unidentified): Don't the other issue that becomes of that too is that with our budget and that the that fixing the culvert the top of the hill is 5600 [34:11] Speaker C (unidentified): Versus 20 to 60 and what you're gonna add them all together I realize that but [34:18] Speaker B (unidentified): The trail the main road into the park fixing the color this half is coming out of our budget versus the care and so we have to go by what's in our budget too but it's that thank you [34:31] Select Board member: but probably either way i'm looking at your 39 600 right total here and you can get less money but that 's not included in there is it and what are you talking about Oh, reading, [34:49] Speaker B (unidentified): Reading and rolling the Yorktown Hill with me and then adding reclaiming that and then it's listed as trail number one away count listed as they list the main trail Hill and then the main trail on the other one and what's the main road in the park? Replace Culver to the top of the main trail. So, yeah, they all have it listed. It's listed as 5620 by Reardon, 5335 by Northrop, and 2260 by Childs. [35:37] Speaker G (unidentified): So that's the grading and rolling. She's saying that this one is coming out of their budget, right? Okay [35:45] Select Board member: But she's got $40,000 budgeted there. No, that's our tip [35:50] Speaker C (unidentified): No, that's a different pot of money after the way talk [35:54] Select Board member: I'm talking about just the amount of the bid, the ones we've accepted from Child's, totally two of them, the main trail. Yeah, and Trail 1 total is $39,600. If you take those same two with Brigham, he's $11,000 less, so now you can take whatever money's different there, add to his [36:24] Speaker B (unidentified): on the back so [36:28] Speaker G (unidentified): she's saying that's the grading, she's saying that's the grading, so the grading and rolling can't be paid with TIF. I wasn't here last meeting. [36:36] Select Board member: It's an Albion, it's not. Oh. [36:39] Speaker C (unidentified): Oh, so the challenge. [36:41] Select Board member: So this one is not true. So you can add that one. I don't know. You can do the handicap parking lot. Actually. [36:54] Speaker G (unidentified): And you can do. Not to be like, not to question what you're saying, but are you sure it's not the 3920 is the main hill trail? Because that 36 yards is the same. That 2260 is the same yardage of reclaimed gravel from the 3920 as the 2260, and if you're saving [37:14] Speaker C (unidentified): 11,000, you've got to be sure what I was getting at, and you can get more work done [37:21] Select Board member: from rearing it in the new world, that's all I'm, I don't know really, but I'm assuming if we ask [38:06] Speaker G (unidentified): is matching this main trail right here. I think that it's $39.20 for this guy versus $22.60. [38:14] Speaker I (unidentified): So this is not TIP. This one could be TIP. What's the budget without TIP? You don't know that? Which is left in the budget without TIP? [38:25] Speaker B (unidentified): $8,000, I think. I was going to say $8,000, but it's just that. [38:33] Speaker I (unidentified): So you can get the higher price for that hill with them, and then the rest of it goes to TIP and you get more work done. [38:43] Speaker G (unidentified): You get more work done and you take a little bit more out of your budget. [38:46] Speaker C (unidentified): Yeah, it is. Well, [38:50] Speaker I (unidentified): at first I don't think you can deal with this pool of money in their budget and then this is TIP. Right, so you can't take this some of the words, you can't, you have to take it out of the budget. No, I'm worried. Yeah, I have to do that, but I totally agree, you know, you can do three, you [39:09] Speaker G (unidentified): can do three of the trails. Well, so my question is this handicapped parking lot, where, what's the handicapped parking lot, that has what, where is that in Child, you know, because that's like an add-on thing that I don't see over here [39:26] Speaker I (unidentified): it's in the main trail, okay, so that's included then, so this is in the main trail [39:35] Speaker B (unidentified): that's the same as this [39:36] Speaker G (unidentified): this is the number that's like parking lots is 28,700 versus. So this is 56, 20, versus 46, so this is that, so then you go to this one, it's this one. [40:10] Speaker I (unidentified): Oh, in handicapped parking lot. I'm sorry, I didn't read it, right? You're actually correct. [40:14] Speaker G (unidentified): So this is versus, see, it's 35, but then this one is like 1,000 over. [40:20] Speaker I (unidentified): What Natasha's saying is where in the child's isn't the handicap part of the injury. [40:24] Select Board member: It doesn't matter what the injury was. I'm going to ask her if they were straight. [40:29] Speaker G (unidentified): That's what I'm trying to show you right now. So this one, Estes, is like under by now. This one, Estes, is in the main crib. Right. And that would be this one. It's so much different. Yeah. So I don't understand what the difference is. [40:48] Speaker I (unidentified): That's my question is, you know, can we do parking in the town? And that's fine. I just I can't. There's certain rules with the tip that you can't handle. [41:02] Select Board member: I guess. [41:05] Speaker A (unidentified): Yeah, if you're [41:07] Speaker F (unidentified): going to say that, if it's okay, you can do more and do more for the same money, right? [41:14] Speaker G (unidentified): So you're probably saving like 5000. But then the big question is that my question is that deer trail culvert road drainage like what 's the discrepancy between right and that one is part of is part of like you know the deer trail in something else [41:31] Speaker I (unidentified): And Steve's like proposing no like many big estimates you have to like what Brent was talking about when you separate them out it's all how that company separates where they put so northwest we had they put there whatever right and I don't know if they knew ahead of time that it might be come down to we're not going to do this [41:59] Select Board member: Yeah I would go to them and say we can only do these three items or four items four out of the five this one we're gonna have the funds for them that's we might I [42:17] Speaker K (unidentified): think Northrop was high because he obviously he didn't understand well on the nature of it because his day trader was way up there way up and there's not that much work on that but I don't think he I'm missing something there because he was way higher yeah and the other guy I think [42:37] Select Board member: it's just different approaches kind of design build right now I see really has this handicap parking lot they go grab a long corner introduce Jack Hamerson wedge I didn't see where [42:54] Speaker G (unidentified): Giles had that lots of we're just talking about is that we thought that was part of trail one [43:00] Select Board member: is that correct there ledge [43:04] Speaker B (unidentified): work needed yeah that's it says main trail ledge work needed for correct water runoff and handicap parking lot that's the same thing as the handicap parking lot [43:17] Speaker K (unidentified): on reared in yeah 46 and three and fifty six okay [43:29] Select Board member / Chair: but I don't think you can get [43:30] Select Board member: caught up on each individual line item as much as you have to combine them to get to you know up to where your budget is right you can get more work done within your budget so basically it was she looks like there's potential to do everything except for the deer [43:52] Speaker C (unidentified): Trail, that's right, yeah, and it will probably be done till next year, yeah. [43:59] Select Board member / Chair: And I don't know what would that mean for money, so if you had... [44:09] Speaker G (unidentified): So Reardon, so Reardon, if you did main trail and the trail one with Reardon's numbers, you'd save about five thousand. You'd still have left over on the tip, and then, but then they're looking at their budget, yeah. Then they would have to spend an extra where the thirty nine hundred, so about extra like 16 1700 not a budget for grading and rolling, so you're about 3500 or 3200 under still with SD child, but they're not, they're different, no, right, I mean without SD child, sorry. [44:44] Speaker A (unidentified): with the rear end so the goal was to use our most of our tiff money and not most of our account i think is what the idea was right i mean that would make sense right because primarily our account is for emergency. So even though it's a $30, $20 difference, and say, we have more flexibility with the account that we control versus the tech money. So it's kind of a given to me. [45:04] Speaker C (unidentified): Right. But yeah, whatever you guys think, I was given the numbers. Yeah. But you're still getting [45:11] Select Board member: more done. Right? Yeah, you can see we would get quarter. Even though you guys spending a little bit more on that one light item but the other line item is you're spending a lot less so right you know the end result is you know you can force your father still signed a budget with reardon and then the child's really get three right and that left over can just in the tiff go to the next [45:40] Speaker I (unidentified): next year's bigger project or whatever, or gravel or whatever that you get volunteers to do. [45:48] Speaker K (unidentified): How long is that near truck? It's not that long. I would say the 1,500 feet. [46:00] Speaker C (unidentified): This year is not going to shorten it up. My concern is that most of our budget is [46:07] Speaker B (unidentified): always going for emergency treatment. So if we use a lot of our budget right now, then we risk not having it for that, right, I mean, with our storms being worse and things like that, you know, we always have to be ready for rose pen for things as well, but that's why I'm like a little concerned about that number higher coming [46:34] Speaker C (unidentified): out of our budget versus coming out of our time for a thousand dollars, yeah, they actually, yeah. [46:40] Select Board member: Yeah, they would prefer to spend $11,500 more when I have my TIF funds and save it. [46:47] Speaker B (unidentified): I'm not saying that, but it's... [46:49] Speaker A (unidentified): Right, because we can't use TIF for emergencies in the park. I wouldn't vote for that. I wouldn't vote for that either. So when we run out of money in our budget and can't use TIF for an emergency in our park, then what do we do? Come ask you guys for more money to fix it or... I'd call Becky. It's TIF money that's already approved for trails, So we're trying to be smart about it using our budget for the things that we've experienced in the past like understand the tree Well, yeah [47:22] Select Board member: Budget but the bottom line is it's the town's budget Understand and if there's an emergency situation and the town was asked to provide a thousand dollars [47:36] Speaker C (unidentified): I think this board would probably hear that so moving forward then we need to go back [47:43] Speaker A (unidentified): So I don't know forward then what do we need to do go back to Reardon get it itemized the way you guys asked and then come back to the next meeting for approval [47:52] Speaker C (unidentified): Okay so what how do you move forward so I got to give you four out of the five items [47:58] Select Board member: But they said they just don't have any money but they said it was all or nothing right [48:01] Speaker F (unidentified): Right that's the question the question is what they do that's what they told me so right I'll go back with it right I think that's the question what they do when you're back why don't we go I [48:09] Select Board member: mean I like I said the last bit I keep getting this down the road but it's a significant amount of money I would suggest go back and ask both of them for everything but the deer trail that's what we're looking at right and ask them to break that down with the grading and rolling on the hill keep that out separate because that's kind of a little bit different but [48:35] Speaker K (unidentified): So you want to kick out have them kick out the DH rail yeah all right and well so you're [48:42] Select Board member: Looking at it okay well they've already given us their numbers yeah you can ask for your best and final price on those four items maybe but it falls where it falls and then you know I think if you're gonna in my opinion you go back to them and ask them for a lower price they may just walk away anyway but I think the approach in my opinion the approach would be we have money to do this [49:11] Speaker F (unidentified): This and this that's it yeah the only question is if they want to stick to their guns and say we [49:18] Speaker C (unidentified): want it all or well right you know that 's true that might you know that I think that's [49:24] Speaker F (unidentified): The only real question to deal with it from there. Right? You [49:27] Select Board member: Know, I would still look at 11,000. Yeah, absolutely. [49:31] Speaker F (unidentified): I'm right behind you. I'm just saying that would be the only question I'd have is I think they're gonna say they want it all. [49:37] Speaker G (unidentified): An estimate from January. But I'm looking at that right now [49:40] Speaker A (unidentified): to estimate from 115. [49:43] Speaker B (unidentified): Right? Because those were for the [49:48] Speaker C (unidentified): the fifth we had to have one for the food so it's Stevie we're gonna play on right yeah [49:56] Select Board member: I wouldn't talk anything about these things So let me get them so what you're suggesting Glenn is that we reared in for everything except for the deer trail and just this is what it is you want to make that motion I'll make that okay We only have enough money for four of the items. I mean, here's the four. And there's no way else coming in. I think that's probably more of the problem that if we get somebody else who may have had a lower number to come in and do another portion of the work, that will be bid out at a later date or they'll have tip money how far can you go so can you get 500 feet of that done so you know for the balance so what's your let's just get the motion correct Yeah your motion is to award all the work to Reardon except for the deer trail correct that's [51:08] Select Board member / Chair: it that's my motion I'll take that yeah any further discussion on the sample all right all in [51:15] Select Board member: favor? Number five zero. [51:19] Speaker B (unidentified): And what was that? I hate to ask you this. All right. So this is like the [51:25] Speaker G (unidentified): difference between Reardon and Esty. So we'd say 5280 out of the third money. I can get it. It's [51:30] Speaker B (unidentified): fine. I'll figure it out tomorrow. Don't worry. [51:34] Select Board member: 38,240. [51:38] Speaker I (unidentified): 38,240. No, but what's that number? [51:42] Speaker G (unidentified): You're included in grading and that's not what number are you including I'll get it tomorrow [51:47] Select Board member: Yeah well we did it we did include the grading right well it's coming out of a different button [51:53] Speaker G (unidentified): So I have those two numbers separate okay so your number is probably right okay sorry [52:01] Select Board member: We got all this move on they just looked at my piece of paper thank you guys okay [52:09] Speaker B (unidentified): We had mentioned about naming trails, and I noticed they didn't get put on the agenda. I did not have time to accomplish that task. So my apologies. You said that we brought you the names that you were... I thought we had to go back to the 2013 and find that stuff out too. So I thought that was part of the whole package, and I didn't have... [52:34] Speaker F (unidentified): Make sure that somebody else didn't already pay for that name or for that well just is that what [52:38] Speaker B (unidentified): You're talking about all right, but I don't, I mean, I didn't, my, I didn't get like, my understanding was like, bring us a couple of names and we'll take some. Did you spend anything ahead of time? Because that, you've got to give me stuff ahead of time. I just told Steve about it earlier because, honestly, the board needs to receive their materials that Friday before for, and then they aren't doing all of this. Yeah, so if we had got that earlier, there would have been the opportunity, or you kind of went through those numbers a little better so they [53:15] Select Board member: make sense. That's, these all right, next we'll get it next time, I'll get us the names. We'll get them, I guess my apologies.
New Business
[53:28] Select Board member: Yeah, new business, new website, first thing on new business. [53:39] Speaker B (unidentified): So I will say that when in a slight discussion about a new website, the one we currently have really does not fit the town's needs. I have two other vendors that have provided some cost estimates, including one I was still going back and forth with. He sent me a much better website earlier, just before four, so I just wanted to check to see if he said anything else. So, Catalyst, which is the company that took over the one that we had prior, which was a double office. So, that was probably three, four years ago. We really found that to be very user friendly here in the office. We could change it here. Something came up over the weekend, I could do it at home. And the presentation, which I sent along to everybody. So I had to just click on that little website portfolio and go through all their websites. The other one is Town Cloud. Town Cloud is the one that does our agendas. I was not happy with his first set of sample ones that he has done. He sent me a mock-up later, fairly late today. Like I said, it was about 3 o'clock. That actually captured what I was really looking for. The main page area popped, the calendar wasn't this big gummy thing which you found if you went on to Town Cloud's original sample. The thing that I don't like about Town Cloud is that like it's like I'm buying a car and I'm not really excited to buy a car because things change and the price changes and we're Catalyst is very specific of the cost. We know what we've gotten in the past and you know so it's not something where we necessarily need to make a decision today, but I would definitely like it in the next two weeks. I didn't want to have that discussion to make sure but he's actually looked at those websites, Town Cloud. Was trying to, well, if you sign today, I'm like, oh, this sounds like a used car deal. I am sorry, you were talking to the wrong person. [Speaker C (unidentified): Exactly.] I'm like, oh, there will be no sign today if you can. [56:32] Speaker A (unidentified): That is a checklist. [56:33] Speaker B (unidentified): Not happening, so I'm not sure what the board is looking for from a future website. I don't know, do you even use the one we have? [56:45] Speaker G (unidentified): I get my tax bills from it, look up maps. [56:49] Speaker B (unidentified): And that is a different system, it's off our website, but it's off from a different hosting system. [56:58] Speaker K (unidentified): So it's not a nice one. [56:59] Select Board member: Website hosts a few years ago, this new one is not as good as the last one, it's just I don't know, so sometimes getting, especially on a mobile device, getting looking online, it's going to be very painful. [57:19] Speaker B (unidentified): I don't know, I did, I have found that, you know, yeah, and we have to make sure in the next couple of years, I know this, postpone it maybe another year, to make sure everything is ADA compliant, that the colors can't be too crazy, there's all these regulations that, you know, obviously Catalyst and I'm sure probably Town Cloud have what they're supposed to be doing, in fact I did talk with Town Cloud about it, but yeah, this, the website we currently have just doesn't function. [57:54] Speaker C (unidentified): For us, oh yeah, but now under new management, the new ownership, they change that, no, we have a new, we changed, so yeah, maybe we just started, yeah, basically they just don't do it, yeah. [58:14] Speaker B (unidentified): Everything looks the same, yes, it really, it functionally hasn't changed. [58:24] Select Board member: So, let's get down to the nuts and bolts here. What's the cause? It's all about money, Blaine. [58:30] Speaker G (unidentified): Well, I wonder, is there a town website that you really enjoy, like, that you go on? [58:36] Speaker B (unidentified): I don't have enough time to go look at others. So, when I'm out, like in this case, Shaw, I hate this stuff. The vendor provides some websites to go look at, and then I also kind of Google who has what, because maybe they are, you know, maybe they're all, these are pretty ones, so I'm kind of going, I, the second version of the Town Cloud I really like, I don't feel comfortable, I was trying to look. [59:07] Select Board member: Again, yeah, this is the one you sent us late this afternoon, late this afternoon, and I played with that a little bit and it seems, I mean, I didn't spend a lot of time, yeah, but it seemed pretty decent. Yeah. I don't know. Do we want to, everybody kind of get a chance to try these over the next two weeks? Yeah, I didn't open that. I didn't see any other one. [59:37] Speaker B (unidentified): I let it send it just to you. I don't think so. Oh, okay. I thought it was. [59:43] Select Board member: I wasn't 100%. I thought it was with all that stuff. [59:48] Speaker B (unidentified): But yeah, he was, he was talking, the gentleman from Town Cloud, if you can approve and pay this week, I'll do six thousand for the three years and free implementation. Well, this one is just a little over six thousand for three years. It's sixty three six seven, sixty seven and twenty. [1:00:15] Select Board member: 20 cents, but you know what you get from, okay, so this, I'm looking at this Town Cloud, it says total of three years was three thousand and sixty dollars. There's something different than 60. [1:00:34] Speaker B (unidentified): One today said they send you something. Well, this is, yes, this is, this is his first rendition. Oh good, he's going to sell it to us cheaper. See, do you understand why that's why I don't feel comfortable saying, I don't feel comfortable saying no to them because there might be, but I know we're not getting fed a pitch on the other one if this is it. And here you are, go ahead, what do you got? I'm sorry, one minute. [1:01:15] Speaker E (unidentified): Just a quick question, does our email change the address? Yeah, so do you remember there was something that the classes could go to.org? [1:01:25] Speaker B (unidentified): That's another thing that we're going to do as part of this whole process, so at some point in time, so we all need to be.gov and that as we do this part would be our IT would make us. [1:01:41] Select Board member: Yes, I'm not, I didn't want to do it, so this time Sound Cloud, this what I'm looking at right here, this is three years for three thousand sixty dollars and now he's got a different price. Oh, but the better website, oh but the, so this is for his discounted website and the one that he sent this afternoon is his better website and that's six thousand dollars for three years. [1:02:06] Speaker C (unidentified): Did a website coming from margins, this is why I have, well when we got right now chapter 11. [1:02:15] Speaker G (unidentified): So when you voted for the new website where there must have been tears like there are now, maybe we chose the bottom one, does anybody remember for this, the one we're on currently, yeah. [1:02:26] Speaker B (unidentified): The one we're on currently, I think we went with the price more so than, okay, what do you remember, I. [1:02:35] Select Board member: I don't remember, I remember talking about it, I don't remember, yeah, I don't remember dollars and cents, yeah, I thought there was frustration with the other one. [1:02:43] Speaker B (unidentified): Oh, there was, because they were trying to charge us a really lot of money, and at about the time that we were saying, to heck with you, they came in with this exact quote, and at that point, the quote for A to Z was so much cheaper than this one, we're like, oh, we're going to give it a go. [1:03:04] Select Board member: It was a ballpark. It was a ball, and I don't know. I mean, I had a discussion with Becky. I mean, a lot of people use the website, and I think it needs to be, I think it needs to, you know, you need to be able to navigate it easily and [1:03:25] Speaker C (unidentified): the people, you know, you're looking at five hundred dollars [1:03:29] Select Board member: to two thousand dollars. The amount of people that use it for a year, I think it's money well spent. But, and I'm not one to throw money away, but I think that's pretty important that people, especially trying to be transparent [1:03:43] Speaker I (unidentified): Wow, people a chance to do. We have to think about how many people use their own thing? [1:03:48] Speaker B (unidentified): Yeah, I don't so My big complaint is when I go up to departments and whatever down to town clerk or town manager and try to go across I have to go back up and try it again. Sean 's not it gets the same it's and he's like oh no it works fine i go i 've had this trouble i've been combined [1:04:12] Speaker C (unidentified): It's fine for somebody who knows how to navigate their product, right, but I'm sorry [1:04:19] Speaker F (unidentified): I mean, I did one, I, it's not to me, I can't, I can't seem to navigate through it. Tammy will work through it, but not me. And I cannot get on this website [1:04:41] Speaker B (unidentified): on Google. I can't get to part of it on Google, but I can if I'm on Safari. [1:04:46] Select Board member: That's when, if I, if you Google up China and you get the old website, there's something, it's still there. And then you have to look over down on the side and it's part of it. He hasn't found a website in a couple years. It was for a long time. [1:05:00] Speaker B (unidentified): Yeah, probably for a while, because it takes them a while to... [1:05:03] Select Board member: I don't know. I just... So when we talked about the difference in price, obviously we have to renew them. [1:05:13] Speaker B (unidentified): By the time this company, four to six months, yes, we would be at renewal. [1:05:19] Select Board member: And their price in version is the other price in version? [1:05:22] Speaker B (unidentified): As far as I can tell, it was $462. [1:05:27] Speaker C (unidentified): But he's doing nothing for us. He's paid now. [1:05:30] Select Board member: But the posting fee right now is $462,000. That's what I could find. And this scandalous year one stats out to $2,000. I was having those reaches as we go. So it's $1,500 more in there. Yeah, $1,500. Value. There is a value to it. [1:05:53] Speaker C (unidentified): Yeah, it's not worth anything. [1:05:55] Select Board member: You can navigate through it. There's a value to it. I just know when we switched it, I thought it was miserable. And I just didn't like it. The other one was really good. I thought it was better for sure if it'll make it easier for townspeople to go on. Well, [1:06:15] Speaker F (unidentified): I think if it makes it easier, they're liable to do it more than once. If it's hard, they don't like me, they don't go through it. You know how you want. It's not [1:06:24] Speaker C (unidentified): It's not I think you're absolutely right. [1:06:30] Speaker E (unidentified): It seems like it's glitchy like Mikey said. Sometimes it's better than others, sometimes it freezes up, but I don't know if it's the Google versus Safari or what the heck. Sometimes on the phone it's hard to navigate, but right now it's working good. [1:06:48] Speaker I (unidentified): I agree we've got to get through the environments and all the little drop down menus because I'm on there probably three times a week, you know, doing different things and watching some of these and whatever, but I do feel that same way. When you're looking for a department, it's got this drop down, yeah, for this one that [1:07:07] Speaker F (unidentified): leads to this one and if you get off your mouse you gotta start over. Yes, so it's right, I mean [1:07:12] Speaker I (unidentified): unless you're a clerk it does, it happens on a lot of websites, so I guess most of us until to send that it's like it's just something I have to do it. Yeah right, but it depends on how deep you have to go into the department, you know. If you have a mouse it's a lot easier to try to do it. [1:07:34] Select Board member: It's right how to run on that and the mobile app is, it's, it works, but I guess I thought that I the time cloud was 3060 for three years, so it kind of, I was kind of entertaining it until you said that. [1:07:51] Speaker B (unidentified): That's not their premium website. Well they just gave us a price on their premium for, yeah, but [1:07:58] Select Board member: it's the same as this catalog and we don't have that. Six thousand includes more than just the [1:08:08] Speaker C (unidentified): cloud or is it 's just hosting it i'm not totally understanding how that all works it's [1:08:16] Speaker B (unidentified): hey here's your website, go use it, we've set it up for you, it's, you know, four to six months to get everything, you're gonna go in and walk, look, and you're gonna, and they'll give you some [1:08:26] Select Board member: training on it before they make it go live, so their high, their high end one was six thousand for three years. This was town cloud, yes. Which one did you go for, town cloud or some, like I mean I [1:08:44] Speaker B (unidentified): still, I'm still a catalyst person at this point even though I really did like the last rendition, but every time I've been telling the guy I hated the calendar for a while now, like, and it's just not my fancy, and then all of a sudden we asked Spidey and today [1:09:01] Select Board member: boop, here you go. Yeah, and the other thing is we had the channel this one before and it's kind of, it's proven track record. I don't think it's something, I don't think it's something that we really nail on down. I think people [1:09:19] Speaker I (unidentified): Really has a disservice. We should remember that well, especially nowadays, more people do want stuff online, and that may be time. You know, I don't know if you guys do something like this tonight, or if [1:09:32] Select Board member: you want to tell me what you'd like to make the money come down. I knew you were going to ask me [1:09:39] Speaker B (unidentified): that. I, if we, if we have to pay for all of the years up front, which that's the one thing I forgot to ask, then we could do the first year out of our IT, but the remaining years would need to come from a contingent. You know that typical that you pay for all the years up front sometimes to get the price. I don't know right what the answer to that is, and if that's an answer you would like, and then I certainly can get [1:10:14] Select Board member: that answer. No, yeah, they would be. Yeah, I would prefer no, you're right here. Yeah, [1:10:21] Speaker G (unidentified): ah, me too, but you're still a contract, but you just pay a year or a year. Yes, [1:10:26] Select Board member: this catalyst is a supplier contractors, it's just what the pricing, I believe [1:10:30] Speaker B (unidentified): this is it right, your contract, but I will get, okay, I will get a final. Finally, we want to know, for your contract, up front or yearly? And I bet if it's a signed contract, it might be over. [Select Board member / Chair: All right. Okay.] Add to next. [1:10:59] Select Board member: All right. Notice of public hearing for October 5th, for the November [1:11:04] Speaker B (unidentified): ballot. I just wanted everybody's eyes on this. So we're going to have two public hearings. We have the Annual General Assistance Ordinance Appendices Amendments, and then we'll have a second public hearing immediately following for the November 3rd Municipal Ballot questions. This is going to be in the town line, plus we will be posting it at the free public locations here in town. No action by absolutely no action, just wanted everybody's eyes on it in peace. There's something there, miss explain [1:11:56] Select Board member: for you. Yeah, the RFP for portable walls and closet removal, one bid. Well, [1:12:27] Speaker F (unidentified): I want to go back to what I said. I thought at one point time we talked that we'd kick this around a little bit about spending money on that building, but I'm wondering if this is more of a want thing or a need thing, because seventy seven hundred and fifty dollars seems like a lot of money made it going there, knock down a few walls and do it [1:12:50] Speaker G (unidentified): together, and Wayne's question, where's that money coming from? Oh great answer, that is coming from [1:12:59] Speaker B (unidentified): capital reserve, you can do it. Oh, wow. I mean, it's a mobile [1:13:05] Speaker F (unidentified): home, right? It's an older model. [1:13:12] Select Board member: Yeah. My suggestion would be is that we see the law between now and so far as the public works department coming up that baby out of it. [1:13:24] Speaker B (unidentified): I don't recommend that. [1:13:28] Speaker C (unidentified): The lull is [1:13:29] Speaker E (unidentified): Keeping stats this week and we're going to shrug the rose and put power on that. I hear what you're saying, but right now, some prior drills to get the wall in. [1:13:39] Speaker G (unidentified): You do need the wall in too. [1:13:41] Speaker C (unidentified): To get everything ready and fixed. [1:13:44] Speaker E (unidentified): The other thing too is what's the time frame on this project? Because you have the seniors, you have voting. [1:13:50] Select Board member: You said it would have to be done before. [1:13:52] Speaker G (unidentified): Well he said 9 28 or sooner which does anybody know who this person is because that makes me nervous they're incorporated but if there's no references and they can literally start next week that's always a red flag no I mean I'm not saying I don't know that I'm just saying anyone. [1:14:09] Speaker C (unidentified): Like from my experience they've been around a while they have you know I don't know them okay but I do know they've been around okay then they could just be there in a while. [1:14:20] Select Board member: Whether they're the same ownership as they were 10 years ago I have no idea I really am and then. [1:14:26] Speaker G (unidentified): They proposed to complete it October 21st or sooner we're just cutting it pretty close if. [1:14:31] Speaker C (unidentified): Things get delayed I don't know and back to Ed's question comment well that was that really has. [1:14:43] Speaker F (unidentified): Always been my question on this whole thing with that formal over there is I mean I talked to Becky about it a little bit, and she said that this is something they've been kicking around for a few years as far as the voting goes. I don't know. Is the voting thing something that has been recommended, or do you just feel like it would work better? Because it seems to me it's more of a want than it is a need. [1:15:08] Speaker B (unidentified): The space in there to appropriately accommodate the number of voters that we have vote in person the distances between the machines and the guardrail enclosure and where people stand and I don't you've probably voted in person I mean you've been there on a real busy day I think I see good in there it's people don't like it when it's real busy and they're standing there having out of the voting room ballots in hand waiting to use the machine so I mean it's obviously we can't make the building. Bigger so some of the accommodations by removing those closets and reconfiguring that area can help create a space that the voters aren't all jammed up and they have a little bit of space to wait as they approach that box without me standing shoulder to shoulder. So I mean if it comes down it comes down if it doesn't it doesn't. I know the seniors are very much looking forward to more space and being able to connect both sides of the room together but I mean and that's been one of our issues not being able to host meetings over there because when you do you can't see half of the room back with her. [1:16:39] Select Board member: It mentions on the IRP something about the engineer, where did I see that? Yeah, [1:16:48] Speaker C (unidentified): just said that Keith Whitaker. So is there, did he provide any details or anything? No, he was [1:16:55] Speaker B (unidentified): there that day. He goes, yeah, he goes, the only one you want to keep is the one that the [1:17:01] Speaker C (unidentified): panel's on. Everything else can come off. Yeah, so that wall isn't coming out. Correct. They're [1:17:19] Speaker B (unidentified): still going to have one more parallel right but you really have the seas around both [1:17:25] Select Board member: sides of it yeah and [1:17:28] Speaker I (unidentified): I get what you're saying about putting money into it but what you know [1:17:33] Speaker F (unidentified): what's the alternative oh my new building I do understand that is the alternative but it's not going to happen right and that really wasn't where I was going with it. I mean I just I feel like that I feel like we're pouring money good money over bad but money that building that's my in my field I mean it's certainly I just it's not something I think I would I would welcome to spending money on that builder how old is that dollar I would [1:18:06] Speaker C (unidentified): yeah it's going to be 30 years it's a classroom yes the classroom before it came here [1:18:12] Select Board member: we bought it for a dollar from them but it's not bad right that's right I mean I haven't been [1:18:18] Speaker E (unidentified): underneath it but the thing that is hard to me is you know mobile homes does the frames don't go all the way out yeah so the floors are rolling like where your outside walls are and there's not a lot you can do about that it's just the weight over the snow over the years is just [1:18:38] Speaker F (unidentified): pushing it down they're full of rolls I mean I didn't see as you know my opinion is you know we're doing what we got to do to maintain it but well just seem like it's a bad way to spend money [1:18:53] Select Board member: I think that the 7700 might be a little inflated the amount of work that's here I know seven thousand dollars doesn't go very far I don't know that doesn't go very far [1:19:08] Speaker I (unidentified): I think the only one that bid is coming out of bangalore right we [1:19:14] Select Board member: Should go have a demo. I'll tell you what, I could use one of the shots. [1:19:21] Speaker G (unidentified): I feel like I could use one right now for this meeting. [1:19:23] Select Board member: All right, so are you guys going to do this thing? Do we want to make a motion either way? [1:19:36] Speaker I (unidentified): I get not spending the money, but I see the value in opening that up. I really do. I don't like spending the money either. And I wouldn't put, like, I know one of the plans is to redo the bathroom again and all that stuff. [1:19:49] Select Board member: i wouldn't i wouldn't entertain that at all right well we have some money i thought at one point in time that we were talking about was set aside for some work with it because when they did that when they did that there was talk about doing the i mean they put an 88 shower in the right i don't think the toilet should be closed it's definitely not because it's [1:20:15] Speaker I (unidentified): full of storage right now. Very much. Right. But to me, opening that up so you can see all the way down through is more important than dealing with the bathroom and making it the shelter. [1:20:30] Select Board member: There is, so you make that a public space and you have the 88 compliant. That's what I was wondering [1:20:37] Speaker C (unidentified): too, if you're using it for classes and stuff, having a meeting over there, you gotta be 88 any compliance. [1:20:45] Select Board member: I have that pretty never [1:20:47] Select Board member / Chair: but yeah [1:20:50] Speaker G (unidentified): Especially if they're using that facility for classes, the older population, are they going to come across the parking lot? That's what I was talking about. What did I say? It's not any compliance. Well, I think that's probably something that I want to figure out before we put all this money in, if we can't even use it, if it's not up to... [1:21:19] Select Board member: I understand we can't use it. I understand. [1:21:20] Speaker E (unidentified): Why not? You can use it legally. [1:21:22] Select Board member: It doesn't meet ADA accessibility. [1:21:27] Speaker I (unidentified): But again, the alternative is a new building. I'm sorry? The alternative is a new building. [1:21:33] Select Board member: Or you fix that. So the bathroom is... [1:21:36] Speaker I (unidentified): So the bathroom's off? The toilet now isn't? Or you have to have an ADA shower. [1:21:41] Select Board member: Is that what you're saying? You don't have to have an ADA shower. Out of her. But there's not enough room for your five foot wheelchair. Oh, okay. For the bathroom. Unless you take a shower out, which is more. But there's also what was that going to be? Was it going to be somebody? What's the word for it? Was it an emergency shelter? [1:22:09] Speaker E (unidentified): shelter wait it wasn't a shelter because it was a command center emergency command center yeah because if you put the shelter onto it that advice like the public's supposed to come in and shelter there this was only it was a grant that dan had gotten through kcma for that generator and to get a generator in that part of that grant was stating that 's going to be the command center so people if there's a disaster are going to come they're going to work out there the people are doing like the boots on the ground, femur, and you have to think that there's gonna be a huge disaster, which we don't really ever see, but say like the ice storm 98. Yeah, that would have been a command center, and the other thing that was supposed to have happened that never did was have like radio communications in there too, like, we have here, have a radio, so that people could radio people out there. But there's cots in there, the cots were part of that whole setup, but that was just for like 10 or 12 people to come that's working in the situation, and that was when the bathroom got put in. They gave us a blueprint, they said here, do this and [1:23:23] Speaker C (unidentified): then you'll be all set. So they're in the bathroom, that works, they're just not ADA. Yeah. [1:23:29] Speaker E (unidentified): Yeah, I think the Shadow was considered an ADA when they bought it, just because you can get into a wheelchair, but it doesn't meet the radius. [1:23:39] Select Board member: So I've looked at it, and it's going to take a little work, but you don't have to buy anything as far as... [1:23:47] Speaker K (unidentified): You just have to move the wall out. They're all there. [1:23:50] Speaker I (unidentified): You just have to move that other wall out. [1:23:52] Select Board member: Yeah, reconfigure some wall. Yeah. Yeah. [1:23:58] Speaker E (unidentified): And I think the other part of that was they were trying, decided, I think Dan was, it was advised to us that it needed to take more space, but the more space you take into a not enough space situation as it was,, oh, let's just shrink this up and it'll be fine. [1:24:19] Select Board member: Well, it must have got, well, I don't know where the grant is. [1:24:24] Speaker E (unidentified): The grant was just, we didn't fill the grant, right? Yeah. Well, the grant was to buy the generator and it didn't need a bathroom of ADA at the time. It met the minimum of the time. [1:24:36] Select Board member: Well, I thought Sheldon told me that was supposed to be, have cabinets in it. [1:24:45] Speaker B (unidentified): That is Sheldon's. Those are woks. That is a wok on that wall right outside the bathroom. [1:24:53] Speaker C (unidentified): I know we all toured as a boy. Yeah,. [1:24:57] Select Board member: And we had a little plan of it. [1:25:00] Speaker E (unidentified): You drew up a plan. They wanted to have, like, a little kitchenette area with a counter and, you know. [1:25:06] Select Board member: That's where I thought it was kind of like an emergency shelter. Yeah. Somebody moved there. [1:25:11] Speaker E (unidentified): That was just to make it more usable for the seniors to do their functions. But the trouble with that is that you do that and then it takes away your voting area. Area, so it's a lot of trying to go on the one little building just [1:25:26] Select Board member: to balance that. Good, why don't we vote at the school anymore? Because of the security. [1:25:35] Speaker E (unidentified): You need to find that grant for a community center. [1:25:39] Select Board member: You guys want to do this proposal? Okay. Or baby, I'll make a motion that we don't accept the day. I don't think that there's any discussion on this. Any further discussion, I guess we'd have to say. All right, seeing none, I'll call for all in favor of the motion to not award this car. Next item is post-2500 series truck purchase. [1:26:20] Speaker B (unidentified): Okay. Sean is here. Yep. After discussion with you. Yep. [1:26:30] Speaker F (unidentified): This is just what we talked about earlier, right? [1:26:33] Select Board member: Yeah, I mean it's replacing the which, I don't know, I ran into Sean at the station last week and we were talking about some stuff and I saw the truck sitting there with, the rust was pretty obvious and I just asked him if he looked into it yet and he said he hadn't had time but [1:26:55] Speaker E (unidentified): looks like he found time. Well, so I've been looking for quite a while, different things, just because I know we're on a campfire. The current truck won't take another sticker as we talked about back in the budget season. So that comes due December is when the sticker runs out into December. So I had been looking but I wanted to try to carry that sticker as long as we could without having to spend. And when you brought it up, so what really triggered me is once we get starting to put plows on, snow is coming, November and December is hard for me to be there so yeah I just doubled down and get a little bit more serious on looking. Right here as you see they're all boards from Chevy's. I did look at boards not against any particular manufacturer. Boards are like about for the same type of spec that we're looking for it was 10,000 more for the boards and the rams were right about the same price point as this just a little bit lower on that couple we're having a lot of trouble with our rams so I just didn't want to go down that path we've done universal joints it just went a couple weeks ago to go get a sticker put on and the ball joints are gone now so it goes back in actually Wednesday for ball joints. It's all out of warranty now, unfortunately. And then we've got something going on with the transmission. We've had it back to hype Chrysler a few times, three or four times now, actually. And when you're going down a hill, it shifts down in gear and it stays shifted down. It doesn't come back up. They say that's normal. It's supposed to do that part of the hill descent to save your brakes and all that well when it goes down into like basically i think that's an eight speed so it's going down like three or four gears when it shifts down and then you're driving after you get down off the hill you're on a flat area and it's still staying locked into that lower gear it's not cycling back up we've had to like pull over put it in part and then out of drive and back you know then it's fine that to me [1:29:12] Speaker C (unidentified): my chevrolet does the same thing so we do that and i tell the guys that too i said no [1:29:21] Speaker E (unidentified): they told us just forward it and it's going to shift up and come out of it and i've been with them and i've been driving it when it's done and you're still locked in i mean it's like attacking eight grand and it's just revving right out and you think eventually it should shift up and it's i mean and we've gone a quarter of a mile you know like and it's just like why isn't [1:29:46] Speaker C (unidentified): this shit i don't know that far yeah it's it's serious yeah no and i just keep telling [1:29:52] Speaker I (unidentified): me i listen to that's not the chevy he's talking about it's the dodge that's right yeah my ram doesn't do it doesn't look down chipped in but it comes right back along so it's it sounds like it's something but it could be in the one ton gear i don't know right that in a shovel way it's the problem with all these transmissions that are going to [1:30:20] Select Board member: eight nine ten twelve years now right it's a huge i think it's a transmission issue [1:30:26] Speaker E (unidentified): that's that's my feelings too but so anyway we didn't i didn't want to pursue going to another ram well we're still having issues with this one so that's why it's technically chevy and then the next thing i did is went on the chevy dealerships and the if you're on the chevy website it gives you all the listings throughout new england basically i put like on a hundred mile radius disappear and put in the what was looking for and it spit out what was available. So then the ones that were available, I reached out to those once they got their votes, and Central Maine Motors did not, unfortunately, have one in contact with them. They didn't have any one coming in that matched that specs. So those are the three we've got. Barney, Chevrolet happened to come in the lowest. They don't do plows, but they contract with Bangor Equipment, and their plow was cheaper through them than the other places as well, just overall. And the other thing that, not that it matters, you know, as far as anything really particular, but that has got a little bit higher end package for the lower price than the other two. So they're giving more track for less money. So my recommendation would be to go with Avani and Brent and I talked when we did the ram we didn't buy a new plow we put it on the old one on the red truck onto the ram it's an eight foot six plow so this one here we specced it out with the nine six plow with the intent that what we're going to do is take that plow put on the ram because that's one that we use all the time plow and park wants salting the other thing with that 86 plow it's not quite wide enough for the dual wheel the snow rolls out around. So what the intent is we're going to get that new plow put it on the truck that we use every day and then we're going to take our old plow that's currently on the rail and we'll put it onto this one. It's going to be hooked up the universal swap out as far as control and all that. So we'll put the old truck on the one that we're buying now. We use it and we will use it but it's not an everyday attack that you're going to be will ride it out and so as far as that wow it's to help upgrade the ram to the size it should have been so connor's not having anything or couldn't find it they didn't have anything as far as that particular spec right now They had a lot of higher-end models, which I'm trying to keep away from. They had like, I can't even remember what they had, LTZs and NALYs and tons of those ones, but on the lower and lower drug levels. Was it a GMC model? Or did you just ask for Chevrolet? I did not ask for GMC actually. I was, I don't know, you might know better, but I was told GMCs are typically the higher end of the General Motors compared to Chevy GM. I didn't, I can reach out to GM. [Select Board member: I don't know.] I can't honestly answer that question. But does Chevy, Ocona sell Chevy? Well, I think they do. [1:33:58] Select Board member: They do, but they have a much better inventory than GM. GM. Yeah. They do, certainly. Yeah. [1:34:04] Speaker E (unidentified): I didn't know that. I had no idea. They nearby. [1:34:08] Select Board member: Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I used to, what, Bangor or Pittsfield? Pittsfield. Pittsfield. A little farther away. I mean, we bought stuff from them before, right? O'Connor's? Yeah. We did. Yeah, just by two western sides. [1:34:23] Speaker E (unidentified): Yeah, and they pulled the carpet up from under our feet. Wow. Yeah, I mean, I can reach out and see if there's a GMC if you want to wait, it's entirely up to you. I don't know. [1:34:38] Select Board member: Might not be a big show anyway. I don't know. Baddies or collars are usually right neck and neck anyway. And you know, you really don't, it doesn't really matter where you buy them. They'll still service them down there. Right. They'll still service them. In O'Connor. I bought my truck in New Hampshire and they do service. Especially if it's warranty, they love that. Yeah, they do. They make their money on service anyway. I wouldn't like where you buy it. The location of where you go to get it. [1:35:16] Speaker E (unidentified): I was trying to find something at O'Connor and Central Maine Motors, like you said, just because it was local, close call. Excuse me. I didn't think of the GMC part but it was just Chevy and I was trying to find something in Pocahontas or Central Maine just because they are close. Bassborough, they just purchased a truck and theirs happened to be the cheapest was down in Arundel. I think they went with Arundel Ford and that was a 650, bigger truck. But like they said, same thing you just said, they'll warranty it wherever. [Select Board member: I was just] kind of shocked like I said that's a higher model than the one [1:37:00] Select Board member: more prices on that or do you guys want to no Actually I don't ever want that fire off from them. I have no issue with the virus. No, I have no issue with dying. [1:37:16] Speaker I (unidentified): The three trucks will call this list on their website that are kind of in that area pretty within a couple thousand two thousand and I'm I'm not expecting anything out of this kind of pull up their website for the HD for the N25. [1:37:33] Speaker E (unidentified): Yeah, the other thing that kind of stinks, the only thing I asked for was the plow prep, the towing, just the basics. But all these trucks nowadays come with all these options and packages that you can't just get that stripped down truck. It's hard to just get that. Everything comes with the backup camera and then all these other sensors. All these trucks that come in with them on the low end which you don't need it and so there's a lot of crap with [1:38:07] Speaker I (unidentified): the yeah the bigger alternator and yeah you know what you want that 's yeah that was the [1:38:15] Select Board member: thing that I was looking for when it comes to the plowing. Well you can still put plow on your boat [1:38:20] Speaker E (unidentified): having that. It's an extra whole thing. Yeah. So [1:38:26] Select Board member: 5 to 61? Yes. If you want 8 to 81. That's, that is additional. We pretty much as a board already agreed. We already agreed. We, well, we pretty much said that we were going to decrease the maintenance budget on that truck with the intent of replacing it. And adding a sticker. Oh, yeah. What does that mean? Does it need a lot of stuff for the sticker? Yeah, it's, so we, about a month or two ago, DOS came with a big [1:38:56] Speaker E (unidentified): hole in it so Jason took some tin tape we wrapped it up with the tape it's quite it's held right now but that's held with tin tape and then the floor on the driver's side just looked down through the other day it was like a hole you can see the floor and you see the road yeah the other thing is just the frame and then the rust on the fender wells so it's a frame pretty bad it's the rate where the fish the mounts for the plow it's right in that section there that needs framework that was why it's not worth it's not worth putting money into no just yeah to replace it and then that one yeah we need to get rid of it I don't know how to liquidate it put it out for bid I guess but did we just put it out for auction [1:39:50] Speaker I (unidentified): like we're done with others yeah that would be more interesting than some of the like bigger [1:39:54] Speaker E (unidentified): trucks that somebody will buy they won't pay for the trade I didn't ask that they we could ask I [1:40:00] Select Board member: don't know how my truck would buy up their old cars they will get a pretty good trade dollars I mean what's it worth [1:40:11] Speaker C (unidentified): what did we get for that I was thinking did we get three was it wasn't it couldn't have been 15 you might not want it but [1:40:25] Select Board member: it's an easy way to get rid of it [1:40:27] Speaker F (unidentified): yeah it's gone yeah [1:40:29] Select Board member: yeah I'd ask them I [1:40:40] Speaker E (unidentified): don't definitely want her I my feeling when we put it out for bid like a sealed bid you never get what something's really worth lots of people don't even bid on them and then if somebody does it's kind of throwing a low number of hoping they get something well [1:40:55] Select Board member: what they'll do with it they'll send it to an actual auto they would yeah and there'll be people there and they'll be interested in it yeah and so they know what the market is for that stuff right and now you may yeah we make it do better with the trades and try to sell it on the back I can [1:41:17] Speaker E (unidentified): Check with them. I don't know what it's up to you guys what you want to do as far as, I mean, we can, I can get a price and either bring it back to you in two weeks or if you want to set a number that they'll give us x amount that might move things along. I don't know how fast trucks they go on, who knows if it sits on the lot for a long time or I don't know anymore. Why [1:41:46] Speaker F (unidentified): we can't, you know, settle on a dealer and what's been spec'd out and then, you know, go with whatever we get for a trade-in if we're going to get a trade-in on it. [1:42:02] Speaker E (unidentified): I would imagine that probably most likely have to bring it up there, just have them look at it because they're not going to want to give a number on it. I mean, I could take it right up there. Why was there an offer? They had a [1:42:13] Select Board member: didn't they have a program going or something that was like three thousand dollars they got it and worked my time, I'll be right down, but yeah, I [1:42:27] Speaker C (unidentified): don't know, I mean, I don't, I think the [1:42:31] Speaker F (unidentified): motion that we accept the lowest bid, which is, I believe, Barney's, right? Yeah, we accept the lowest bid with the only exception being what they can get for trading on it rather than put it up for a bid. And [1:42:50] Speaker C (unidentified): if they say no? Well, if they don't want it, then we still take the lowest bid. [1:42:59] Select Board member: $3,000 or other? I think that's a one ton four wheel drive. So your motion is to buy the truck from Varney's and see what they'll give for trade or? [1:43:20] Speaker F (unidentified): Yeah, see what they'll give for trade, absolutely, yeah. [1:43:23] Select Board member: How's that going? It doesn't matter what the trade amount is. No, [1:43:29] Speaker F (unidentified): I mean, I don't know what it's worth. I don't know what we could get for it any other way. That's all I'm saying. I mean, I'd like to obviously get as much as you can, but I don't know what you'd get for it. I can't, I can't tell you that. [1:43:44] Select Board member / Chair: I got a first and a second. Any further discussion on that? [1:43:48] Speaker G (unidentified): So should we give Sean the discretion to make the decision when he gets the trade amount, or do we make a decision to... [1:43:53] Speaker B (unidentified): Would it be best to, between myself and the chair, make that... So get a number, bring it back to them, and then, well, that way we can, if it's not acceptable, [1:44:09] Select Board member: then you can make it. They say a thousand dollars, well, we already know the answer. We'll do better than that. Right. Yeah. That works for you guys. That's pretty great. Okay. Ready for the schedule. All right. All in favor? [1:44:33] Speaker E (unidentified): I don't know how they, because they're going to put the plow on me, I don't know how they'll do that trade, you know. [1:44:38] Select Board member: Oh, they'll figure it out. They'll wait until it's ready. Okay, any public comments? Anybody on? [1:44:48] Speaker C (unidentified): Nope. Oh, I have a comment. Oh, I'm not public. [1:44:51] Select Board member: We're not there yet. Select one member comments. Now it's your turn. [1:44:55] Speaker G (unidentified): Blaine made me think of this earlier when he was talking to me about trimming, which I don't think it's us, but I live on the Arnold Road, which is the Erskine, and coming out of that parking lot for those kids and myself, like you cannot see to the left, and I don't know if that's a date that trims those back, but I feel like that's like kind of dangerous for all the people coming out of [1:45:17] Speaker C (unidentified): that road, so I just, I don't know, that's just, I noticed when you're coming headed towards [1:45:25] Speaker E (unidentified): winter, you know, they have that flashing school sign, yeah, that's so grown up on the trees, you hardly even see that flashing either, so coming towards you don't even see this light [1:45:35] Speaker C (unidentified): flashing right now, that's great, it is, I knew 32 is the state, so I didn't know if that was [1:45:41] Speaker E (unidentified): I will actually, I'll go down to see the state crew tomorrow morning down the state garage, see [1:45:48] Speaker C (unidentified): if I can get them on that, I feel like it's just a lot, like mindful, because obviously the leaves are going to start coming off the trees like fairly soon, but still it's there right away, it [1:45:57] Speaker G (unidentified): is, yeah, it is, but I like for them to put it on their radar, like for next, like future years, yeah, definitely, that's something I've reached out almost every year, I don't know what I'm [1:46:08] Speaker B (unidentified): I looked at it this fall before school started, but maybe I didn't find it. [1:46:13] Speaker C (unidentified): I literally come out every morning and come out flat. School hasn't. [1:46:18] Speaker G (unidentified): Yeah, that's what I mean. For all the students coming in and out, the drivers. [1:46:22] Select Board member: The sign you're talking about is on the opposite side of the road, right? [1:46:26] Speaker E (unidentified): No, it's on the same side. It's kind of, you know where Dick Morse used to live on the corner? Yeah. Oh, yeah. That splashing school bus, or not school bus, but the school zone that the D.O.T. put up, I think it was D.O.T., and the earth can do whatever, it's right in those trees that along that, there's one that [1:46:45] Speaker G (unidentified): we were talking about, yeah, I'm talking about right at the end of the Arnold Road when you're going left, literally the Estelle, the Mayo's, like trees right there, yeah, oh, that's the side you're talking about, no, you're talking about the winter side, it's not the track, but hillside, no, the check, oh, you are there. Yeah, that thing, too. Yeah, so all of that area is just a little bushy. [1:47:05] Select Board member: I think there's one the other way, too. [1:47:06] Speaker E (unidentified): There is. There's one both directions. The trees are growing up around that sign [1:47:10] Speaker G (unidentified): that she's talking about. Yeah, I'm talking about just exiting. [1:47:13] Speaker E (unidentified): It's kind of like the trees are on Dick's property that have grown out over the years. Is it fir trees? I think they're fir trees. [1:47:21] Speaker B (unidentified): The fir ones are closer to Chadwick, yeah. Okay. [1:47:25] Speaker F (unidentified): Those are like maple, whatever. Right on the floor. [1:47:31] Speaker G (unidentified): Yeah, the ones in the corner to be able to see so that kids and people can turn. That's my comment. Hey, [1:47:42] Speaker B (unidentified): Manager communication. Upcoming meetings, including the public hearing, October 5th, and the other one is October 19th. Next month, holiday closures, October 12th for Indigenous Peoples Day. [1:47:56] Speaker C (unidentified): Got it. Okay, I have another question. [1:47:59] Speaker G (unidentified): Public hearing my first time just same spot same time same place yep we did not go over [1:48:05] Select Board member: It yeah correct thank you I'll take a motion to adjourn this morning I'll take it back okay [1:48:12] Select Board member / Chair: All right, all in favor thank you all right do you want to sign these three things first [1:48:59] Speaker G (unidentified): August 27th. I'll make a motion. We approve the meetings from August 24th and August 22nd. [1:49:05] Select Board member / Chair: I'll check on that one. Any discussion? All in favor? 5-0. Okay now we've got a whole list of [1:49:14] Speaker B (unidentified): Abatements. First one is for Luther King. Homestead exemption was admitted from commitment so the proposed abatement amount is $271.25. I'll make a motion that we approve that as long as [1:49:29] Speaker G (unidentified): The calculation is correct. I've already looked through it, so I'm not jumping on board, yeah. [1:49:34] Select Board member: Yeah, got a motion, do I have a second? [1:49:36] Speaker C (unidentified): Oh, hold on. All right, I just missed. Who's the motion? I made the motion. Sorry, I was... I'll be back. Okay, what do you mean? You need to cut it off? You want to look at it? [1:49:47] Select Board member: Got you with the motion. Yep, thank you. Just a second. Thank you. All right, a discussion on this [1:49:51] Speaker C (unidentified): Luther King Amendment. So it says right here, it's going to tell you the reason. Yeah, I know. [1:49:57] Select Board member: Oh, we've got a motion and a second, and I'm open for discussion. Any discussion on the Luther King of England? No. All right. All in favor? Next one is the Porcupine Ridge Farm. [1:50:17] Speaker B (unidentified): The annual Betty filing was not processed at time of commitment, so the proposed abatement amount is $177.94. [1:50:25] Speaker C (unidentified): Four cents. So I'll make a motion that should be with the maintenance or bring on a new one. Where's your paper on the line? That works. Sorry, he's the secretary of this [1:50:43] Select Board member / Chair: Meeting. Yes. While you're over there. All right. [1:50:49] Select Board member: Any discussion on that? So just to be [1:50:53] Speaker G (unidentified): Be clear did the town like do an average and then when they when they filed it late we did an adjustment based on what we'd originally charged them is that why it went down no [1:51:09] Speaker B (unidentified): You have the business had a betting filing and it just wasn't processed. Okay, oh, so we're just saying that they [1:51:18] Speaker G (unidentified): just don't have to pay it because it didn't, there's a betting filing, so how long does the [1:51:22] Speaker B (unidentified): Betty offset set so that wasn't applied to that account. Yeah, so that [1:51:27] Speaker C (unidentified): account would have even been a zero or whatever. Okay, so they have the [1:51:31] Speaker G (unidentified): Betty exemption, they should, they should have had it. I'll tell them it just [1:51:36] Speaker B (unidentified): didn't get applied on to the account. Okay, yeah, I'm gonna, all right, all right, the Wayne Green law homestead exemption was removed in error. Proposed, the proposed abatement is 271.25. [1:51:55] Speaker F (unidentified): I'll make a motion we accept the abatement of 271.25. [1:52:01] Select Board member: I'll second that. Good. [1:52:04] Select Board member / Chair: Any discussion? All in favor? And this one is for Michelle Solomon. [1:52:14] Speaker B (unidentified): This is, there are several of these, this is the next few ones new, so we are all for, it's all great, the same mapping law, they just, it was not correctly assessed, so on the next three for block ownership and acreage errors, and so for Michelle Solomon it's 394, $394.94 for an abatement. [1:52:46] Speaker F (unidentified): I'll make a motion we accept that abatement for $394.94. [1:52:51] Select Board member / Chair: I'll second that. Good. Any discussion? All in favor? [1:52:57] Speaker B (unidentified): I'm zero. Same for Jacob Solomon. His proposed abatement is $583.73. [1:53:06] Select Board member / Chair: I'll make a motion we accept it. The abatement is $583.73. I'll second that. Good. Any discussion? All in favor? [1:53:16] Speaker B (unidentified): And the third one is for Alexis Guiteau, and that is for $2,247.04. [1:53:29] Select Board member: I'll make it $2,247.04. What's that. The discussion on this one over there. [1:53:52] Speaker B (unidentified): And the last one is for Frederick Riva, veterans exemption was admitted from commit, and some of the pros proposed to be member of, this is $65.10. [1:54:05] Speaker I (unidentified): I'm actually going to send this baby for $65.10. [1:54:09] Select Board member: I think that was a discussion. All over. Okay, now we'll move on to the supplements. [1:54:20] Speaker B (unidentified): First one is for James Larrabee. His personal property tax documents were filed, but the assessment was omitted from commitment, so proposed supplement of $227.85. [1:54:34] Select Board member: I make a motion to accept that supplement. James, do I have the $227.85? I'll second it. [1:54:42] Select Board member / Chair: Okay, any discussion? All right, all in favor? [1:54:49] Speaker B (unidentified): Next one is for Nicole Lovering, which goes with a couple of the abatements up top. This is to correct ownership in acreage, and the proposed supplement is for $252.81. [1:55:02] Speaker F (unidentified): I'll make a motion. We accept the supplement for Nicole Lovering for $252.81. [1:55:11] Select Board member: Second that. Good. Any discussion? [1:55:13] Select Board member / Chair: I don't know. That [1:55:20] Speaker B (unidentified): one is for Jacob Solomon, which now will supplement his account for $2526.97. We [1:55:33] Speaker F (unidentified): can, we can, we can make a motion we accept the supplement for Jacob Solomon for $2526.97. [1:55:41] Select Board member / Chair: I second that. Any discussion? All in favor? [1:55:48] Speaker B (unidentified): And the final one is for Alexis again, which is the proposed supplement for $244.13. [1:55:55] Select Board member: I'll make a motion to accept the supplement for Alexis, okay, for $244.13. [1:56:05] Speaker F (unidentified): I'll second that motion. [1:56:12] Select Board member: And then the amendments and supplements, I'll take a motion to adjourn. [1:56:15] Speaker F (unidentified): I'll make that motion. I'll second it. I'll second it. Okay. [1:56:18] Speaker C (unidentified): I don't think it would be me doing it has those upon please. [1:56:27] Speaker B (unidentified): You're there are all the all of [1:56:31] Speaker C (unidentified): Those. Those are going to be good. Thank you.
